TG is the instrument to obtain the weight of a substance as a function of time and/or temperature. 
TGA is conducted in a carefully controlled thermal environment to achieve reliable and reproducible results.
TGA measurement has many applications in physical and chemical characterization because of its precise weight change detection capability.
